SonoMania will perform for the first time during the "Toamna Muzicală Clujeană" / "Cluj Musical Autumn" festival on October 24t 2016, at the Studio Hall of the "Gh. Dima" Music Academy in Cluj (7 p.m.). DOINIRI is a program that comprises "musical anniversaries" - Romanian composers that have reached a round number of years in 2016: George Balint (55), Doina Rotaru (65), Adrian Pop (65), Mihai Maniceanu (40) and Diana Rotaru (35), as well as works by Toshio Hosokawa and Gabriel Malancioiu.

SOUND MENAJERIE is a foray into the labyrinth of imaginary beings from the minds of modern and contemporary composers, the evolution of said beings being structured on 4 areas: “larvae”, “insects”, “birds” and “beasts”. SonoMania will perform during the 4th edition of SILENT FILM NIGHT at the InnerSound International New Arts Festival original short film music by Aurelian Băcan, Sebastian Dumitrescu, Tudor Feraru, Diana Gheorghiu, Șerban Marcu, Gabriel Mălăncioiu, Megumi Okuda, Diana Rotaru, Alexandru Sima, Simona Strungaru and Sabina Ulubeanu. The event will take place on September 29th 2016, at the "Elvira Popescu" Cinema Hall in Bucharest. 


Performers:  Mihai Pintenaru – clarinet, Raluca Stratulat – violin, Tamara Dica – viola, Eugen-Bogdan Popa – cello, Alexandru Mija - conductor.

On May 9th 2016 - Europe Day - during the METRO DAY event organized by the European Commission Representation at various subway stations in Bucharest, SonoMania performed Finnish music in Santa attire! CANTUS ARCTICUS - Frigorific Musical Installation (Hommage to Einojuhani Rautavaara) was a concert for acoustic and electric strings that took place in segments during 1:30 p.m. - 3.45 p.m. Performers: Raluca Stratulat (violin), Eugen-Bogdan Popa (cello) and guests  

Sebastian Dumitrescu  (electric bass) and Alexandru Sima (electric guitar). Program:  Einojuhani Rautavaara, Finnish traditional music arrangements by Adina Dumitrescu and Sebastian Dumitrescu, audio installation with arctic birds and Waterphone and metal percussions interventions (Diana Rotaru). 

On Nov 18th 2015 SonoMania is invited to perform during the International MERIDIAN Festival – Romanian ISCM Section Days – the 11th edition, at the Cantacuzino Palace Hall. DRAWINGS is a concert dedicated and centered on Toshio Hosokawa’s sonic calligraphy (60 years anniversary). Our special guest:  Cristina Lilienfeld (dance, coreography)

SonoMania will perform during the 3rd edition of InnerSound International New Arts Festival in Bucharest! On September 19th 2014, the "Silent Film Night" will be held at the prestigious ArCuB Hall, comprising a selection of short silent films with live music written by some of the best young composers today. Conductor - the great Gabriel Bebeselea.

Check us out on June 25th 2014 @ the lovely Bucharest Music Film Festival. It's our 3rd year in a row! BURLESCO! will get a new version as we fill the "George Enescu" Square with a enthralling, vivid program that will include XXth century's classics as well as funky new music: Mihai Maniceanu, Dan Dediu and Diana Rotaru.

On December 4th during the MERIDIAN ISCM-Romanian Section in Bucharest, SonoMania will perform works by young Romanian composers in the lovely hall of the "Cantacuzino" Palace. Conductor: Alexandru Solonaru. Guests: Raluca Stratulat (violin), Mihai Maniceanu (piano) and Andreea Butnaru (harpsichord). Stay tuned for a great performance during the International New Music Week, Bucharest, in May 2013! Some of the best Romanian young composers and a lot of creativity!

On May 25th, at the Opera and Multimedia Studio of the National University of Music in Bucharest, SonoMania will play a Kaleidoscope of new multimedia works by Sabina Ulubeanu, Dan Variu, Diana Gheorghiu, Gabriel Malancioiu and Darie Nemes-Bota.

"Sonorous Mysteries / Urban Mysteries": SonoMania played at the Sutu Palace (Bucharest, January 23rd) music by Jaques Ibert, Witold Lutoslawski, Tiberiu Olah, Andre Jolivet, Dan Dediu, Sabina Ulubeanu and Darie Nemes-Bota. The sounds told mysterious stories, and so did the magic photos by Sabina Ulubeanu, Teodora Maftei and Cornel Brad. 

FUM ("Smoke") was a multimedia concert / photo exhibition that took place at Dianei 4 / Bucharest, on January 20th 2013. SonoMania made magic happen together with Irinel Anghel (performance) and Mihai Cucu (video art), through the sounds of Erik Satie, Salvatore Sciarrino, Andre Jolivet, Charles Koechlin, Doina Rotaru, Irinel Anghel and Diana Rotaru.

SonoMania was included in the MERIDIAN International New Music Festival - RNS-ISCM Days. 

The concert took place on December 4, at the National University of Music in Bucharest. 

On November 14th 2012, SonoMania (Ana Chifu - flute, Valentin Ghita - oboe, Maria Chifu - bassoon, Eugen-Bogdan Popa - cello) played Romanian music at the National "George Enescu" Museum in Bucharest. The program included works by establishes contemporary composers (Dan Dediu, Doina Rotaru, Liviu Danceanu, Violeta Dinescu), young composers (Sabina Ulubeanu, Diana Rotaru) as well as a work by Sigismund Toduta.

In October 2012, SonoMania went Korea: Ana Chifu (flute) , Valentin Ghita (oboe) and Maria Chifu (bassoon) have collaborated with the amazing clarinetist Emil Sein (Spain/Romania) in a concert with Korean music that took place on October 18th 2012 at The 18th Festival of Contemporary Music - Happoman 2012 (South Korea)
